The much-loved Mohanlal is arguably one of the most revered and popular names in Malayalam cinema today. During a long and eventful career, the National award winning method actor has won the love of fans courtesy his dashing personality, gripping performances, and incredible range as a performer. Moreover, over the years, he has featured in several classics and proved that he is a synonym for success.


Now, the star is in the limelight for all the right reasons. As it so happens, he took to Twitter and shared an epic photo with fans, In it, he can be seen showcasing his fitness on the shoot location of Kayamkulam Kochunni and proving that even at 57 he is as fit as a fiddle


In case you did not know, Kayamkulam Kochunni is a period-drama and features Mohanlal in an extended cameo. Nivin Pauly plays the lead while Priya Anand plays his leading lady. While talking about the film, she had said that acting in a Malayalam film is always a nice experience owing to its realistic content.“The best thing about working in a Malayalam film is that the characters are so real one need not really have to try and get into the world. They’re so real; you can immediately connect with them. Although the story is set in 19th century, everything my character goes through happens even today. It was easier for me to connect. The challenging part was picking up the language, the dialect to be precise because it’s a period film,” she had told a website.


On a related note, this is a busy time for Mohanlal. Besides Kayamkulam Kochunni, he also has Odiyan in his kitty. It is a thriller and has been directed by VA Shrikumar. It also has Prakash Raj and Manju Warrier in the lead.
