Much is being spoken about the casting couch allegations by Sri Reddy and many other actresses in the Telugu film industry and the protestation has reached a new level at the present moment. Sri Reddy started the protest against the casting couch in Tollywood and said that she was sexually exploited by many actors, directors and producers which left the industry black faced a few days ago. After speaking on various news channels and on digital platforms, Sri Reddy alleged that she was also forced to have sex by Abhiram Daggubati, younger son of popular producer Suresh Babu, in their studio in exchange for work but never got any opportunities. Reacting to all these issues, actor Pawan Kalyan, when asked by media during one of his political meetings, had said that Sri Reddy should approach police officials first rather than sensationalising the casting couch issue on news channels. Sri Reddy reacted to this statement by Pawan Kalyan in a harsh way and used abusive language against the actor, which didn’t go down well with the film fraternity and fans of the actor. Social media is abuzz with messages against Sri Reddy for the cuss word used against Pawan Kalyan and fans of the power star seem to be raged about the whole issue.

And in the latest development, actor-producer and brother of Pawan Kalyan, Nagendra Babu aka Naga Babu, held a press meet today in Hyderabad and addressed various issues including the casting couch, harassment against the women actors in the film industry and Sri Reddy’s abusive language. Naga Babu said that the industry always has respected women and because of few people they have always been shown in bad light to the world. The ‘mega brother’ did admit that women artists in the film industry have always faced challenges in terms of work environment during shootings and they have been trying for a long time to come up with a solution for that.

Reacting to Sri Reddy’s abusive language, Naga Babu referred to one of speeches by Pawan Kalyan in a party meeting where he says that there may be situations where abuses would be hurled against him and he is ready to withstand all that because only strong people can sustain that and weak people. Naga Babu further added that they are silent only because their family is a string one and can withstand all this, and also asked people not to assume their silence as their weakness. Naga Babu also said that the Sri Reddy saga is being turned into a politically motivated scenario and soon it would turn ugly. Watch the video of
