Global star Priyanka Chopra celebrated her 36th birthday yesterday and on her special day, the actress has decided to do something for her employees. The ‘Quantico’ star who has always been a staunch advocate of feminism, has introduced a special set of benefits for the female employees at her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures.Priyanka Chopra has given a special gift to her female employees. The benefits are flexible working hours for mothers, maternity level benefits, a creche arrangement and monetary assistance for post-pregnancy care.


The news was confirmed by her mother Madhu Chopra. In an interview to ANI, she said, “We had to keep the interests of the 80 percent female staff who is married in mind. The idea was simply about why should women’s life choices become professional hurdles? The policy of flexible timings for mothers was set in place by Priyanka, but fine-tuned by senior members of our company.”


She further added, “We give 12 weeks’ maternity leave and financial assistance for care. Priyanka wanted to create an environment where women feel ‘safe and loved’.”The best part is that it is not only the female employees, but even male employees will be granted paternity breaks in her organisation.This act by Priyanka Chopra who is considered as one of the most powerful female social voices of the country proves that she is one of the best bosses to work for.On the work front, Priyanka recently wrapped up the shoot of her upcoming Hollywood movie, ‘Isn’t It Romantic’. The movie also features Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson, among others. Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, it is scheduled for a Valentine’s Day 2019 release.


The actress who is currently in London will soon start prepping for Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bharat’. Also starring Salman Khan and Disha Patani, the movie is all set to go on floor on July 22.
