August 13 marked as Sridevi’s 55th Birth Anniversary. The whole film fraternity and the legend’s fans remembered her. Boney Kapoor and daughter Janhvi and Khushi were at a special screening of Sridevi’s 1987 film Mr. India at Films Division in New Delhi. During the event they talked about the actress. And they got very emotional.

Boney said, “My love story with Sridevi is an open book. Whatever matters of the heart that can be shared is all in the public domain. What is most close (about her) will remain in the heart. That’s my support system for life.” He further said that his children Arjun Kapoor and Anshula from his first wife stood beside them after the unfortunate incident. He said, “The way they have accepted Janhvi and Khushi… That has made me feel very relieved. My all four children are my strength.”

With a heavy heart, he said, “Today this vacuum, this void cannot be replaced but the good wishes and the goodwill that she has left behind is something that we can live with… She is with me, in my memories…with my children.”

Sridevi’s brother-in-law and co-star in several films Anil kapoor also took to Twitter to remember her. He wrote, “A true star that shone brightly on-screen & lit up the lives of everyone she touched. Not a day goes by when we don’t miss you Sri. We see your reflection in #JanhviKapoor & #KhushiKapoor everyday. You live on in our hearts & minds…”

Boney had earlier said in an interview, “Sri lives with us everyday. Not a minute goes when we don’t miss her.”

Sridevi’s presence was missed when her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut last month in film ‘Dhadak’. Sisters Khushi and Janhvi had got emotional at the trailer launch of the film as they were missing the presence and blessings of their beloved mother.
