Robo 2.0 postponed

Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson starrer upcoming Sci-fi movie ‘2.0’, directed by Shankar, is one of the most awaited movie of this year 2017 after  SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali:The Conclusion. According to the latest update, the makers have postponed the release due to delay in VFX works. Earlier it was supposed to hit the theaters on the occasion of Diwali but now it will be arrived on 25th January 2018 on the occasion of Republic Day.


Raju Mahalingam, COO of Lyca Productions confirmed the news as he posted on the wall of Twitter, “Our most ambitious project, Shankar's 2.0,shifts to 25Jan 2018. It moves from earlier Diwali release to achieve world class standards in VFX.”


Sreedhar Pillai  also tweeted, “Big news that #2PointO release postponed from Diwali 2017 to Republic Day weekend - Jan 25, 2018. The post production is time consuming.”


On the other side, Rajinikanth is excited to join the set of his next venture under the direction of Kabali director Pa Ranjith where he is speculated to play Haji Mastan and it will be bankrolled by his son-in-law Dhanush under the banner of Wunderber Studios.
