Can we expect big fight between 'Dabangg 3' and 'Zero' this year ?

There has been no official confirmation yet, but it is believed that Salman Khan will return on screen as the daredevil cop Chulbul Pandey this year. If certain rumours are to be believed, Dabangg 3 could reach the theatres this year, that too by December. The rumours also say that the movie will kickstart the shoot from April. The grapevine also mentions that Arbaaz Khan, who is the producer of the movie, will make the big announcement soon. The announcement will also include the new cast members and who will be directing the movie. It is believed that Arbaaz, who directed the second Dabangg movie, will not be returning to the director's chair for the second time (the first movie was directed by Abhinav Kashyap). Instead, it would be Prabhu Deva who would be directing Salman here. Prabhu Deva had earlier worked with Salman Khan in Wanted, which was a hit.

However, if the movie is planning to release in December, it is going to create a whole lot of hassles for distributors and exhibitors that month. There are some big movies coming out that month, and adding Dabangg 3 to that choc-a-bloc schedule will only add to the mayhem. As of now, these are the movies that are confirmed to come out in December - Ajay Devgn's Total Dhamaal, Shah Rukh Khan's Zero and Ranveer Singh's Simmba. There is also Sushant Singh Rajput's Kedarnath hovering around. So we are sure that Dabangg 3 will have to clash with any of these movies.

As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, a trade source revealed to them, “The film may very well start rolling in April, and will be released before the end of the year. Which effectively means that there will be a clash between Dabangg 3 and one big project in December. This, unless Dabangg 3 is released on December 14. Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal is releasing on December 7. Anand L. Rai’s movie with Shah Rukh Khan, Zero, which also has Salman in a cameo, will release on December 21. Rohit Shetty’s Simbaa with Ranveer Singh, co-produced by Karan Johar, is releasing on December 28. Since there are only a few important dates in a year, such clashes are inevitable

Salman Khan is currently shooting for Race 3, which is scheduled for an Eid release. The movie is directed by Remo D'Souza, and also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem.
