After a long time, Trisha Krishnan was able to deliver a solid hit. '96' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha has become a blockbuster. This feel-good love story directed by Prem Kumar continued to draw crowds to theatres in big numbers even after one month since release. As per the agreement signed with Sun TV, Makers permitted TV Premier of '96' on Diwali Day (November 6th) assuming the Box Office run won't last for more than couple of weeks. But now, The Team want the TV Premier to be delayed until Pongal.

Trisha believes Television Premier for a movie which is running successfully in Theatres is too harsh. She informs '96' attained 80 percent occupancy even in it's 5th Week. 'We as a Team feel its unfair to be premiering '96' this early. It's our request to push it to a Pongal viewing please Sun TV #Ban96MoviePremierOnSunTv,' she wrote.

Trade Pundits say, Trisha needn't have to create an issue out of TV Premier. Anyhow, Most of the '96' theatres will start screening Vijay-Murugadoss flick 'Sarkar' from November 6th. Nothing much revenue can be gained from then onwards for sure.
