Producer Ashok Vallabhaneni who had acquired the Telugu rights of superstar Rajinikanth's 'Petta' movie, has openly lashed at producers 'Dil' Raju, Allu Aravind and others for blocking the theatres.

At the trailer launch of his film, 'Dil' Raju gave a counter and it invited yet again strong remark from Ashok. In an interview with a channel, Ashok said, a day will soon arrive to beat these people in the industry with slippers. However, the debate was getting heated up and Ashok left the show mid-way.

Keeping this aside, 'Petta' is all for a release on Thursday i.e, on January 10th. The film is getting a good number of screens on the first day in the Telugu states. However in a shocking move, 'Petta' will be removed from majority of the theatres and multiplexes on the second day to accommodate 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and 'F2.'

Yes, 'Petta' gets only two screens on day two in the entire twin cities and that too in a theatre which is less popular 'Saptagiri' at RTC cross roads and Raghavendra in Malkajgiri. Another shocking fact is no multiplex will screen 'Petta.'

Single screens and multiplexes are in double digit in areas like Kukatpally and Dilsukhnagar. Unable to allot a single theatre for 'Petta' is a pathetic thing.
