Pop icon Britney Spears has revealed she got into trouble after she lost her virginity at the age of 14.

The ‘Toxic’ singer opened up about her teenage experiences in her tell-all memoir, ‘The Woman in Me’, released on Tuesday, reports Mirror.co.uk.

The highly anticipated book explores Britney's tumultuous life and has had some shock revelations, including the details of her abortion after falling pregnant with ex Justin Timberlake.

Britney shared her first sexual experience with readers, which started when she was staying around her " 'bad' friend's house". The boy she had a crush on "snuck into the house in the middle of the night" and the pair began kissing, but she insists things didn't go further.

As per Mirror.co.uk, it wasn't until she started dating her brother's best friend.

"That year I liked a lot of the boys in my brother's crowd," she said.

"His senior year, I started dating his best friend. I lost my virginity to him," she added, before explaining that she was 'young' for the ninth grade and the guy was 17.

"I would go to school like normal at 7 a.m. but leave at lunchtime, around 1 p.m., and spend the afternoon with him. Then he would drive me back right as school was getting out. I'd just innocently get on the bus and go home like nothing happened," Britney recalled.

Mirror.co.uk further states that she noted that the age difference between the pair now "seems outrageous" and her brother grew to "hate him". Bryan eventually told her parents and Lynne punished her daughter by subjecting her to trash duty.

"As a punishment, I had to walk around the neighbourhood all day with a bucket, cleaning up garbage like a prisoner on the highway," she remembers. "Bryan followed me around taking pictures as, crying, I picked up trash."
